Why don't we share the good news?
For those of you who are logged on to the blog, feel free to comment here on why you think our students don't share the good news more. We have been doing this track for 6 years now and conversions are about the same, so are there things we are not addressing?

couple thoughts off the top of my head:
1. conversions aren't the only way to measure the success of the track -- i'd be interested to hear from staff who could comment on the effects on their campuses -- we want to celebrate "sharing" just as much, since that's our job, right??
2. maybe we don't highlight the discipline/perseverance that is needed. for instance, i've been praying for my dad since i was in high school. i've been sharing with him since college. lots of years have passed. he's not a christian yet. that gets really discouraging and painful for me. have we offered anything to the students in how we con't to be faithful in situations like that? i know we want to mostly pump them up, but have we given them tools/encouragement to get past the road blocks?
1) Good point, Katie. I will speak for the West-side of Blue Ridge - I don't think students are sharing very much, either. But yes, conversions are not the only measure. GIGs may be a better measure, as they are intentional relationships where people are hearing the Gospel and in relationship.
2) I think that this is true, and I think that it will be great for you to share your story with the students. Only telling "success stories" may set them up for unrealistic expectations.
